Anticipation (and a couple of videos)

Waiting. Watching.
Believing that "something good" (joy / kindness / revelation) is just around the corner.
Hoping for warmth in the midst of snow, for peace in the midst of revolution, and for my children to find true love....
...
...
...
And studying agility.
...
(Here is a front cross warm-up exercise from the "Obsession Session"....)

(And a rear cross warm-up exercise. This video is a bit longer, because it starts with Moe showing us how it's done....)

It's been an interesting agility week so far, starting with Moe's excellent workshop on Sunday, a short practice session at Connie's on Monday, followed by our Tuesday lesson. My body is sore! I wonder if Riff's is, too. Riff seemed really good on the mat surface, but I haf'ta say my shoes got sticky once in a while when I was trying to stop and turn. Ye-ouch!

We have another lesson tomorrow, and a fun run on Friday, before the AKC trial this weekend. Hopefully we'll be ready.....

NOTES TO SELF:
  • Remember to have FUN! Enjoy! Laugh!
  • If you dread going to a trial....try to re-think it. Forgive yourself for being tentative or awkward. Find the humor if you get lost on the course, or if you don't know your right from your left. There is plenty of laughter in this marvelous game of life.
  • Remember this: You don't have to be an agility champion. It's okay to just have fun playing with your dogs.
  • It might be a good idea, however, to warm up and str-r-etch before you run. No more sore muscles! Make sure Riff's body is ready, too. Massage, walkies, and str-retch. Help him be HAPPY...
  • Of course you could try harder to lose a little of that baggage on your caboose, too. Heh heh. (PSssssst: Goober! No sense in being self-conscious about how you look in videos. Videos are a terrific learning tool. Get over it!)
