RingsGames and NoseWork

My dogs love to play "ring toy" games, and they know exactly where we keep the rings.
In the garage.

They get pretty excited when we bring the rings out...

....and they get REALLY excited if we start tossing the rings around.
Sometimes Keeper will get the ring....

....and sometimes Riff will.

Each dog starts the game with a ring. Keeper usually has the green one.
We also play "Find the Ring." Each dog gets a chance to find a ring that's hidden somewhere in the backyard. They're very good at it.
Keeper is best at finding the rings. But Riff usually ends up with both rings.
I think that is because Keeper isn't all that interested in having a toy constantly in her mouth. Riff wants a toy in his mouth. He's got this "oral fixation" thing going. And the more toys he has in his mouth, the better.

Keeper really doesn't mind. She's a very self-confident dog. She'll often drop her ring, then give Riff a long look that says "It's okay, you can have it." (He doesn't dare to move in prior to that look....)

Keeper hasn't done any agility lately because she is moving stiffly. And her eye-sight seems a little questionable. She misses agility. She LOVES agility.
PS. She doesn't know it yet, but she's about to start a six-week course in NOSEWORK.

I think she'll have a lot of fun with it.
:-)

Keeper will love nosework. I took a intro class with Sunshine. She would have been a great narc dog. If I only had more time.

Have fun!
