Riff earned an Open JWW (jumpers) Q today! We place second, behind Nancy G and her youngster Scoop. I was very happy with the Riffster. We would've been much closer to Scoop, time-wise, if my feet hadn't been pointing at the wrong end of the first tunnel. As it was, I had to call him off and send him into the correct end, so we picked up extra time and a refusal. He also ran wide on a couple of turns (due to my late cues)....but we only had the one refusal, which is allowed at the Open level. So we qualified! YAY! Hopefully I'll be able to post a video sometime...
This was our view today, from the crating area at the fairgrounds:
Riff gets pretty bored in his crate, so we takes lots of walks, and I let him run in the field every once in a while. He loves his orange "binky" - especially when he's in his crate....
After the show was over (and I'd made too many mistakes in Open Standard to qualify), KK, CF and I ate at a little place named BLISS BAKERY. It's in one of the "gentrified" neighborhoods here in town, near the South A Street art scene. Yummy soup and salad! You should check it out.
